BMP’s 16 Degree Big Block Chevy combines flow characteristics common to expensive race-only Head with exotic splayed valve setups. Designed with 2.350″ and 1.880″ valves, as well as “standard” Mark IV intake systems. This has been accomplished through “rolling” the head to a 16° valve angle, designing highly efficient intake and exhaust ports and using a special 80cc combustion chamber.

These Head require a Shaft Type Rocker Arm set up like JESEL part #KPS325131. You’ll also probably need to get a set of pistons that take advantage of the chamber design, but other than that you can use most of everything from a standard big block Chevy, so when you add up the performance potential versus total cash outlay, it’s clearly the HOT setup for Sportsman racers!

They’re available bare, or in two different assemblies that are designed to match your camshaft’s valve spring requirements. A multi-angle valve job and Manley stainless steel valves make the assemblies an excellent value and a real time-saver for engine builders. For those seeking more power, the BMP BBC aluminum 16 degree Head are available as CNC-ported Head with 98cc combustion chambers and 345cc intake runners.
